Ms. Nimita Patel -  Optometrist

 

Nimita manages the refraction services at the Clinic. She joined CCBRT in July 2011. She is an ambitious and conscientious optometrist, with a genuine interest and passion for optometry. She holds a Bsc in Optometry from Aston University in the UK and worked in England for four years before joining the CCBRT team.


Ms.Annemieke Adams – Paediatric Physiotherapist

Annemieke is specialised in paediatric physiotherapy, with  a Masters in Paediatric Physical Therapy (MPPT) and practical experience from working in Europe as well as in different parts of Africa. She specialises in assessing and treating the movement abilities of children from the age of  0-18 years with neuro developmental delay. For example, children who have  problems with motor skills, writing skills, planning (dyspraxia). Annemieke offers active rehabilitation for children with a central neurological, a neuromuscular or congenital orthopaedic disease.

As well as being a dedicated member of CCBRT’s team, Annemieke is sporty, loves the outdoors and is always full of laughter.


Dr. Khuzema – ear,nose and throat (ENT) surgeon

Dr Khuzema is a practicing ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon with a Masters degree in Healthcare Administration from The University of Minnesota, USA. He  has a special interest in establishing allergy and asthma diagnostic services. Dr. Khuzema joined CCBRT in November 2010 to start the ENT services at CCBRT for the first time.

Any patient visiting Dr. Khuzema will find a big smile, a warm heart, and a truly generous spirit.

 

 


Dr. Hassan – Ophthalmologist

Dr. Hassan, MD, holds a Mmed in Ophthalmology. He acquired his degree at the University of Istanbul and his Masters at KCM college in Moshi. Dr. Hassan is an eye specialist and glaucoma expert and for the past five years he has been very active in the field of ophthalmology in Tanzania and across East Africa. He is one of the main advocates for the reduction of conditions that cause blindness in the region.

Dedicated to his patients, Dr. Hassan is an attentive, precise and approachable doctor who seeks to always provide the best care possible.


Dr. Ahmend Attas – Ophthalmologist

Dr Attas joined the CCBRT family in 2009 and is now the deputy head of the eye department. He acquired his first degree at the Voronezh State medical academy and his masters degree in Ophthalmology at KCM college of Tumaini University in Moshi. Dr. Attas is an expert in Oculoplastics and is currently the main link between CCBRT Community Programmes and the disability hospital for the management of our mobile outreach activities.

 A charming doctor with a warm smile, Dr. Attas makes every patient feel at ease and brings with him many years of professional experience.


Mrs. Rehema Ngamilo – Private Clinic Manager

Rehema Ngamilo joined CCBRT in November 2010 as the manager of the Clinic.  With a degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Tumanini, Dar es Salaam college, she is well qualified to run a busy and successful clinic. Rehema has a background in marketing has worked in additional areas such as communications and media.

Passionate about customer care, and motivational in her approach, Rehema runs the Clinic in an efficient, friendly way and greets all she meets with a warm smile


Dr. Wayi – Reconstructive surgeon

Dr. Wayi, an orthopaedic and reconstructive surgeon, has been with CCBRT since 2001, when he was involved with the planning, recruitment and overall set up of the Plastic and Reconstructive department. He trained at the Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences at the University of Dar es Salaam and has worked as a leprosy and reconstructive surgeon during missions to Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Somaliland. Dr. Wayi has also been involved in training other surgeons.


 Dr. Alberta Thiadens – Ophthalmologist

Dr Alberta Thiadens joined CCBRT as an ophthalmologist in September 2011, following many years as a resident ophthalmologist in the Netherlands. She brings with her a wealth of experience working with both adults and children and has a warm, friendly manner which puts her patients at ease.
